Just read in the new Sky and Telescope about an interesting drift alignment procedure called DARV (Drift Alignment by Robert Vice. Here is the link to his instructions:

You’re welcome Bob; looks good as it seems to eliminate issues with PEC on visual drift alignment (PEC should be visible as a wave on the longish exposure and the old eyeball can compensate), and the whole process can probably be done in about a half hr or so.
